Van Lint is back again this year! We are hyped to see everyone again at the 2023 edition of our favorite student sports week, and we hope this year's Van Lint will be a fantastic one again!

The ESSF is 60 years and to celebrate that absolutely everyone is invited to come have fun in the afternoon at our fair with bouncy castles, fun games, drinks and food! This will be from 12:00 till 17:00 at the fields next to the SSCE.

If you are a member of a sports association, you are also invited to come to our lustrum cantus in the evening! The cantus will start at 20:00 at the Flux field. To get your ticket go to tickets.essf.nl

During this gala we will have an award ceremony for the Sportsman, Sportswoman, Sportsteam and Sports Association of the year! Next to this, we will also have an added category of Member of the Year. More information and voting can be found here.

Make sure to invite all your members, and we would love to see you all in your prettiest gala dress, or fanciest suit on the 23rd, on a location yet to be annouced!

On the 15th of September we celebrated our first edition of the homecoming party. We hope you had a great time at the party, and we would like to thank DJ Madstew for providing some sick tunes.

During the open week, there will be a party in the SSC Sports Café to celebrate the start of the new academic year! Members from the associations will also be there, so you can get to know them better!

The party will take place on the 15th of September from 21:00h till 02:00h. For only 3 euros, you get a ticket to the party with 2 free drinks! You can buy your ticket at https://events.essf.nl/party. Hope to see you there!

World's biggest outdoor volleyball tournament and The Netherland's second biggest student event! Join us June 17, 18 and 19 for the games at the Hondsheuvels and make sure not to miss the free party with 5000 others at the MetaForum Markthal!

To thank all the boards for all their efforts of the past year, we organized a Thank You barbecue! We had a lot of fun this evening and we hoped you did too. We think this was a great ending to this year. We were glad we could see you all again and close the year together!

Dear Sporters,

As the van Lint week could not take place at its usual date, we were planning to organize a spring edition in the week of 17 May.

Taking into account the current regulations, we do not expect to be able to host a van Lint week in May. We discussed several scenarios, however we feel that an important part of the van Lint week is being together. We do not want to organise an edition in which we would have to significantly lower the number of participants, not letting all you sports enthusiasts participate.

Therefore, the spring edition is canceled. We are already thinking about the van Lint week of the upcoming year, before the christmas break, welcoming everyone willing to contribute to its organisation. Please email vanlint@essf.nl if you are interested.

For we do not want to let this week (17 May) go by unnoticed, we are organising an event in which everyone that wants to, can participate. We will set up a van Lint themed geo caching/easter egg hunt, during which you visit different locations at which you have to fulfill awesome sports challenges with your team.

More information on this activity will follow! We hope to be able to sport and have fun together again really soon.

Nieuwe studenten, welkom in Eindhoven! Deze catchphrase is waar tijdens elke introductieweek, maar vooral tijdens dit bijzondere jaar!

Tijdens deze Introductieweek zijn alle sportverenigingen aanwezig en verdeeld over vier velden voor de markt op dinsdag en woensdag. Elke sportvereniging organiseert zijn eigen kleine evenement (bijvoorbeeld: klimmen, boogschieten, volleybal, roeien etc.) op zijn plekje, waarbij de veiligheidsregels strikt worden nageleefd. Vervolgens organiseren we op donderdag en vrijdag workshops (waar je actief en veilig kunt deelnemen) op het SSC en rondom de campus.

Houd er rekening mee dat de toegang tot de velden alleen is voorbehouden aan deelnemers van de TU/e Introductieweek. Als je geen TU/e student bent, ben je welkom om vanaf 21 september deel te nemen aan de SSCE Open Week.

Naast de eigenlijke activiteiten organiseren ESSF-verenigingen in september ook een aantal leuke kennismakingsactiviteiten, die je kunt vinden op de pagina Evenementen. Alle verenigingen zijn hier te vinden: Verenigingen, je kunt er zeker eentje vinden die bij je past!

ESSF en haar verenigingen houden zich strikt aan de regels die zijn vastgelegd voor de introductieweken: COVID-19 Maatregelen tijdens de TU/e Introductieweek, om de introductieweek veilig te maken voor alle aanwezigen.

Zoals de regering op 6 augustus heeft aangekondigd, zijn er strengere maatregelen opgelegd voor activiteiten tijdens de introductieweken. Ter verduidelijking van deze maatregelen voor verenigingen en deelnemers hebben we de volgende post gemaakt:

Voor onze verenigingen gelden de volgende beperkingen tot 31 augustus:

• 1,5 meter moet te allen tijde worden aangehouden, behalve direct tijdens het sporten, waar we verenigingen vragen om geen materialen tussen deelnemers te delen en om ze tussen ieder tijdslot schoon te maken.
• Alle goedgekeurde activiteiten binnen het Introprogramma kunnen worden voortgezet, maar het is niet mogelijk om een nieuwe fysieke activiteit te organiseren (zowel binnen als buiten het Introprogramma). Ledenactiviteiten, voor zover deze niet publiek zijn, zijn hiervan uitgezonderd. Deze kunnen met de oude regels worden georganiseerd.
• Alle borrels, barbecues etc. worden geannuleerd, wanneer ze publiek toegankelijk zijn.
• Activiteiten in 'verenigingshuizen' of 'verenigingsruimtes' zijn niet toegestaan. Een uitzondering kan gemaakt worden voor de aanwezigen om een WLF-activiteit te organiseren, maar het aantal aanwezigen dient te worden geminimaliseerd en er mogen geen niet-leden aanwezig zijn.
• Geen alcohol tijdens alle verenigings- of programma-activiteiten, voor alle deelnemers, helpers of andere aanwezigen.

Verder worden de volgende maatregelen genomen bij het SSC:

• Tijdens de tijd dat Intro deelnemers bij het SSC zijn, wordt geen alcohol geschonken (tot 21:00). Deelnemers worden sterk gemotiveerd om daarna te vertrekken.
• De routering op het SSC blijft in stand: je komt vooraan binnen en vertrekt via de achter/zijdeuren. Verenigingen leiden deelnemers door de goede route tijdens de Introductieweek.
• Toiletten blijven open, kleedkamers en douches blijven dicht.

We hopen dat we nog steeds een geweldige Introductieweek kunnen organiseren met deze beperkingen! Tot ziens op de campus!
