Subsidies are provided to boards by:

SSCE

The Eindhoven Student Sports Center (SSCE) generally provides accommodation, material and trainers for SSA’s. In case any (additional) assistance is required for this specific case, you can contact the SSCE.

ESSF

Generalized financial subsidies

There are five categories on which the ESSF provides financial subsidies for all SSA’s. These are the following: (G)NSK participation, sports clothing, educational opportunities, additional transport and topsport. The exact criteria you need to meet to be able to apply for these subsidies are specified on their pages.

Generalized non-financial subsidies

Apart from financial subsidies, the ESSF also offers non-financial subsidies in three categories: BHV-courses, usage of the transport vans and usage of the communication equipment for events. Further details and requirements you need to meet to make use of these subsidies are specified on their respective pages.

Initiative subsidies

You can request additional financial support for any grant ideas you have via the initiative subsidy of the ESSF. Whether your idea falls within the scope of this subsidy will be judged by the ESSF board. The specifics on requesting this subsidy can again be found on the respective page on the site.

Partners of the ESSF

Conscribo

Conscribo offers financial administration software. As ESSF, we are collaborating with them and as such all members of the ESSF can use their software for a reduced price (20% discount). More information (and a link to their website) can be found on the respective Conscribo page.

Intersport

Intersport offers lots of different sports materials and sports clothing. All sporters represented by the ESSF can get a 10% discount on their purchases (items that are on sale excluded). Members of the ESSF can get a 20% discount on sports clothing and materials via the ESSF. The combination logo of the ESSF and SSCE is printed for free. More informatoin can be found on the clothing subsidies page or on the Intersport page.

Cloudcat

Cloudcat offers website hosting, e-mail services and managed workspaces. All SSAs connected to the ESSF receive a discount based on which package they use. More information can be found on the Cloudcat page.

UFe

The University Fund Eindhoven (UFe) of the TU/e provides you with the possibility of requesting subsidy on materials/events that in some way represent or improve Eindhoven-student (sportive) city. This is quite a broad (and vague) specification. It is really important that you explain in what way Eindhoven will benefit from the investment you ask from the University Fund.

stEHVen

Another party that provides financial subsidies for SSA’s is StEHVen. Mostly in case of events, but you can always contact them to see if they want to consider providing money for your idea!

Municipality

The municipality also provides subsidies for sports associations. An overview of the current projects and subsidies at the municipality regarding sports can be found at their website.

Often lots of great initiatives and possibilities are listed on this site, do not forget to check this page!

Apart from these, sometimes temporary opportunities, the municipality offers some general financial support for growth and development.

  • The ‘groeibijdrage’ can be requested by an SSA in case of setting up a new initiative (e.g. starting up a new student sports association) or in case of an opportunity to increase the offer of different sports disciplines towards the members.
  • The ‘sportservice lijn’. This is the result of the national ‘SportAkkoord’. SSA’s can request a workshop/training that they deem necessary/ a nice improvement for their association. They have to come up with an idea/initiative. The municipality reviews the idea and will pay for it if they consider it useful/a nice improvement too.

Sponsorkliks

Sponsorkliks is a cashback program, which could provide your association with money by embedding it on your website. Members have to order products via the website of your association (they can order from anywhere: Bijenkorf, KLM, etc.) which results in a small amount of money for the association if enough members use the link to buy online.

Fondsenboek

The ‘fondsenboek’ can be found in the ESSF office. This book provides you with an overview of possible funds and companies that might be interested in funding specific sports for example. You are very welcome to stop by our office and have a look!

SSN Academy

The SSN (Studentensport Nederland) has gathered a list of trainers. These trainers give workshops to you as a board. This can be about for example finding a new board or gathering sponsorships. The SSN can provide a discount for you as a board! For more information look at their website.
